With the increasing popularity of ductless mini splits, routine care and equipment maintenance are often overlooked. As with any heat pump or air conditioner, mini splits require regular, recommended maintenance.
A question that I'm frequently asked when meeting with folks to design a mini split system for larger spaces is whether to use several single zone systems or one multi-zone system with a few indoor heads.

A previous post discussed some of the factors to consider when choosing between a single-zone or multi-zone mini split design. While greater efficiency can be achieved with single-zone mini splits, a multi-zone installation will normally cost a little less than a comparable single-zone installation depending on equipment.
