Solar hot water systems are an efficient system for agricultural needs. Collector arrays trap energy from the sun and transfer it it to a water storage tank. Many farmers mount these collectors on a barn, others have them installed on ground level. Inside the tank, water is heating through a closed loop system using a non-toxic propylene glycol solution. The solution acts as a heat transfer liquid, which circulates through the collectors and a heat exchanger inside the water storage tank.
